Empretec's central offering, the Entrepreneurship Training Workshop, catalyzes transformative behaviors for entrepreneurs. Developed by Harvard University's David McClelland, the workshop aligns with the notion that behavioral transformation can be instrumental for entrepreneurs.
Over an intensive six-day training session, participants engage in immersive activities to identify, hone, and apply these ten PECs through individual and group exercises. Role-playing scenarios characteristic of the challenges entrepreneurs encounter during the establishment and expansion of their enterprises forms a significant part of this process. The core objective of these workshops is to cultivate entrepreneurship by instilling practical competencies and actionable strategies in participants. The training is delivered by certified local trainers and international master trainers, who are themselves entrepreneurs.
The program's beneficiaries include:
- Micro, small, and medium-sized businesses
- Youth and women entrepreneurs
- Intrapreneurs (innovators within a company)
Empretec's training initiative targets SMEs with proven business success, budding entrepreneurs with promising ideas, and startups with viable projects ready for funding. The envisioned outcomes encompass SME expansion, partnerships with larger enterprises including multinational corporations, job generation, and heightened investments.
The training workshops are tailored to varying levels:
- 6-day comprehensive courses (48 hours)
- 40-hour sessions (usually spread across 8 half days) tailored for micro-entrepreneurs with limited literacy levels.
Participants who successfully complete the training join the global network of over 500,000 Empretecos, entitling them to regular business health checks and support.
